Laura Shenton

Associate Neurological Physiotherapist

Laura has been qualified as a physiotherapist for 35 years and has worked most of this time in all aspects of neurological conditions, including stroke rehabilitation and specialising in Multiple Sclerosis.

She has worked within the NHS for all of this time including the community stroke and neuro service in both South Devon and Cornwall.

She has had the roles of Clinical specialist and Consultant Physiotherapist.

As a Consultant therapist she held the clinical leadership for the stroke unit and led the spasticity clinic after completing her non-medical prescriber training and injector training for Botulinum toxin.

Laura has also been an associate lecturer at Plymouth university and worked in a specialist role for the southwest neuromuscular network covering Cornwall. Laura has been working as an Associate Neurological Physiotherapist with Plymouth Neuro Physio team since July 2025.

Outside of work Laura enjoys motor homing with family and friends, and coastal/moorland walks with her dog.
