Luke qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of West of England, Bristol in 2015. He started his career as a Junior physiotherapist at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. He later left the NHS to work as a Senior and Team Lead Paediatric Physiotherapist at Dame Hannah Rogers Trust, where he supported children and adults with Neuromuscular and Neurological conditions. He then returned to the NHS as a Senior Physiotherapist in Neurosurgery, before moving to his current role as Senior Community Paediatric Neuro - Developmental Physiotherapist at the Child Development Centre Plymouth NHS Women and Children's Service covering all areas of Plymouth, Cornwall and Devon. Luke joined our team as an Associate Paediatric Physiotherapist in February 2025.
With nearly a decade of experience, much of it in senior roles. Luke specialises in neurological and paediatric physiotherapy. His clinical practice focuses on treating children with complex conditions - both genetic and acquired - such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). He is passionate about facilitating normal development and supporting children with neuromuscular and neurological disability challenges. Luke is specialist in serial casting, especially for toe-walking. He works closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide a holistic and effective approach to therapy, helping children improve their mobility, function, and overall quality of life.
Luke is a dad to two young boys and a busy spaniel dog. He loves to explore the outdoors with them.
